Education “Life Online”

By Nicolene Reinders

By now we have all gotten used to this term “Life Online”.

Training, client meetings, catch-ups and even gaming online is the new norm. The IIWC has evolved in the same way and by now the Education Stream have successfully completed two Webinars and one classroom event online. With Cover and LearnOn’s help, we are getting better at this every time and the interaction that this platform allows is very informative for all attendees.

Our Liability Webinar, attended by about 140 people, was sponsored by Camargue. The presenters were John Stebbing, Divisional Director, General Liability, Camargue Underwriting Managers and Daniel Kidd, Director, Everinghams Attorneys; knowledgeable and respectable leaders in our industry.

The feedback from attendees clearly reflected the success of the event and included comments like:

"Both Speakers did a great job, thanks to them"

"Very enjoyable and interesting"

"Very informative and enjoyed all the detail and example"

"A better understanding of of Liabilities that clients face"

"Comparing knowledge to real life scenarios"

And just to name some of them.

Our classroom event, Intro to Commercial Insurance, for the newcomers in our industry, was

also sold-out within hours after the invite went out. 35 Participants, the maximum we are able to accommodate, enjoyed every minute of the training presented by Kurt Stanley from Commrisk Insurance Brokers.

Thank you again to all of our sponsors, without you we could not have done this.

I began with low stakes, experimenting with both live tables and medium-volatility slots, and noticed that patience made the sessions far more enjoyable. The live tables gave subtle excitement, while the slots maintained a steady pace. The biggest takeaway is that mindset matters most: once you approach it thoughtfully and without…
