2022 IN REVIEW: CHARITY

As the IIWC, we do all that we can to give back to our community and those in need. As Steve Goodier said: “Money is not the only commodity that is fun [and worthwhile] to give. We can give our time, we can give our expertise, we can give our love, or simply give a smile. What does that cost? The point is, none of us can ever run out of something worthwhile to give.”

The IIWC is proud to support its five charities that align with our three core pillars of offering: engage, enable, and empower. By way of a reminder, the charities we support are Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children (SBCWC), FoodForward SA, Percy Bartley House, Mdzananda Animal Clinic and The Message Trust, South Africa. You can read more about them here.

Our various initiatives in 2022 included giving back our time packing and assembling food for the poor at FoodForward SA, arranging a sanitary drive for Saartjie Baartman Centre, courtesy of our under 35s' members, conducted our annual food drive for Mdzananda Animal Clinic, kitted out the boys from Percy Bartley House to participate in our annual Action Soccer and created synergy for The Message Trust at our events. This is over and above the monetary contributions we'll be making to our Charites at our AGM for 2023.

We'd like to thank the members for your ongoing support and encourage you and your respective organisations to support these meaningful causes in any way possible.
